Mike Rides

"The Gridiron"

Aldington Associates M.D. Mike Smith is going to be riding the The Gridiron, a 100Km cycle ride through the New Forest to support the British Heart Foundation. Mike says "I suffered a heart attack myself in December 2003 and have recently taking up cycling again to keep my heart and body fit."

THE GRIDIRON 100: is an On-Road Cycle Randonnée, through the scenic roads of the New Forest.

It gets its name from the many cattlegrids to be found on the borders of the New Forest. You cross some of them on the route which takes riders from Boldre clockwise around the periphery of the Forest.
